Terms of Service

These terms apply to all monthly subscription website services provided by Clare Media, including “The Story Website” and “The Experience Website”.
By signing up for a subscription, you agree to the following terms:
1. What You Get
Your subscription includes:

A professionally designed website (hosting included)

Copywriting support and brand-aligned messaging

Photography captured during your scheduled shoot (or if we agree you have fantastic images already, a new brand video)

Ongoing website support (up to 3 hours per year)
- Initial SEO fundamentals

One annual review and update session, including fresh photos
-
Proactive quarterly nudges to guide improvements
The Experience Website includes additional features such as eCommerce or booking capabilities and more complex page structures.
2. Fees and Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly, excluding GST.

Payments are automatically debited via Stripe.

Prices may be reviewed annually, but you’ll be notified in advance of any changes.
3. Ownership

You own all photos, copy, and content from day one.

The website structure and design remain the property of Clare Media during the subscription period.

After 24 consecutive months, you have the option to take your website and host it yourself. Or, continue your subscription and we’ll agree on the best approach for updating your website entirely.

If you’d like help migrating your site after 24 months, a one-time $200 fee covers technical support for migration to your own hosting.
4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time by providing 30 days’ notice in writing.

If cancelled before the 24-month ownership point, your site will be taken offline at the end of your subscription.

No refunds are offered for part-month usage.
5. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Maintaining up-to-date contact details and business information

Providing timely feedback and approvals when required

Ensuring any third-party tools (e.g. booking software, email platforms) are managed on your end

6. Our Responsibilities
We commit to:

Delivering your website to a high standard

Keeping it secure, fast, and up to date

Providing clear, jargon-free communication
-
Helping you make the most of your website through light-touch training and support
7. Ongoing Support
Your subscription includes up to three hours of direct support per year. This covers things like:

Content updates or changes
-
Help using your website
-
Fixes or tweaks outside of your annual review
We’ve found most businesses need very little support once their site is up and running, but we’re here if something comes up. Support is tracked fairly and simply — if you’re ever nearing your included limit, we’ll give you a heads-up and discuss options. No surprise charges.
8. Backups, Security & Uptime
We take care of regular backups, security updates, and monitoring to keep your website running smoothly and securely.
However, like all online services, occasional disruptions may occur (due to server maintenance, outages, or third-party issues). While we work hard to minimise downtime, we do not guarantee 100% uptime.
If there is any disruption to your service, we’ll keep you informed and do our best to resolve things quickly.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. You’ll be notified of any significant changes that affect your subscription or service.
